Welcome to SENSORY TOYS AND MORE. I am ecstatic that you decided to visit. If you’re tired of being lost in the sea of information, I have made it easier for you. I have created a space where you can find all things sensory. Enjoy the adventure! With my experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis and my extensive experience as a Case Manager ( for adults), I had a difficult time looking for activities for my clients both children and adults. I’ve created this platform just for you.

A Short Story Of My Sensory Exploration

Child painting

Providing early intervention to children have been very: rewarding, exciting, and messy. I love creating spaces for children to feel comfortable exploring different textures, tastes, sounds, temperatures, visual affects all the while learning about themselves and their environment.

I remember working with a client who had obsessive compulsive disorder, who would tare their clothing. There were many forms of intervention that could have assisted that client and sensory products were one of the ways to redirect that behavior. Among the many sensory products I used to redirect this behavior were: music, aroma therapy, hand held bean bags, and inset puzzles.

In working with this client, I found that combining scent and hand sensory activities proved successful in decreasing that specific challenging behavior. There are many other example and everyone is different. The good about sensory products is that there something for everyone.

My Inspiration

You… The parents who are seeking guidance and support. The children, teenagers, and the adults, who don’t yet understand how to deal with their emotions. This for those who difficulty overcoming physical and emotional challenges. I am here for you, to help you find the resources.

Doing this is a great reward. I’ve been in this field for five years and so much can be done. Someone may have a thing about textures and hate the feel of sand. With more exposure, that may change. The point is to never give up exploring. I enjoy being there to see they smile when after discovering the feel of connect sand and knowing that it is alright.

My Mission

My mission is to provide a one stop shop for all things sensory, a home for sensory toys, and resources.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. After all, I am here to serve you.

  1. Great stuff. Now days parents are just letting their kids play on their tablets all day.. uggghhh, what happened to the good old days?

    1. Advanced technology happened… There is nothing wrong with parents allowing their child(ren) to use tablets so long as it is for a short amount of time. However, overall, I support more of the social aspects of learning. I absolutely understand that some parents just feel overwhelmed sometimes and need something quick and easy to distract their child(ren) from time to time. I get all sides of the matter. Thank you so much for your comment Esteban!
